I am very tired today. I just ate a banana, or most of one. Baby boy noticed it and came up with that cutest smile of his, so of course I had to share… and then Nova stole some of his chunk. Silly dog. At least she was soft about it. Honestly, he probably held it out to her, and I just didn’t see it. He already got a whole banana to himself though, with Nova locked on the other side of the baby gate, so I don’t feel bad.
He’s discovered he can pick up and toss her bones. I can’t tell how she feels about it entirely… well, she’s definitely annoyed when he comes to take the bone right out of her mouth (even though there’s another one right next to him), but she’s soft with him. She’s a good doggo for the baby boy.
We walked to the library again yesterday. Fletcher made yet another new friend there. Lots of other babies go to the library. He also stared down a bunch of eight-year-olds playing house, and they thought it was silly.
Our library has a fun little after-school program, since it’s a block away from the high school and close to the elementary schools as well. So after 2 o’clock, the children descend. Many go to the computers to play games. I saw one teen watching Vampire Diaries on a computer the other day and that really took me back – I used to check out the DVDs of the show from the library to go watch at home (Don’t ask me about it though… I only made it through a couple seasons and that was ten years ago lol). The children Fletch likes to wander over to hang around the toy kitchen tucked into a corner near the baby and toddler toys we play with.
The only problem with our library trips, which then lead to a bus ride to the gym, is that Fletcher refuses to nap in his stroller most of the time. So he goes several hours without one. I got him to nap on Tuesday for a little bit, but no luck yesterday. Oh well, he seemed to do fine in the kidcare while Keston and I did our workout, and then he just took a quick back, had a bottle, and went to bed early last night.
I skipped class last night. I shouldn’t have, I know, but I really didn’t want to leave the house again after we got home from the gym. Keston rolled his eyes, but didn’t fight me. I just wanted to go to bed.
Then, of course, I woke up for no reason at 2 am and it took a while to fall back to sleep. Maybe that’s why I’m so tired.
I’m drinking an energy drink right now, maybe that will give me the boost to do some homework. Or build a pillow fort with the boy, as discussed on @NixFlare’s Twitch stream this morning. I’ll let you know what I decide tomorrow.
Have a lovely day.
