We went to the library yesterday, Fletcher and I. It was a beautiful day and I wanted to get out of the house, so I loaded the baby boy into his stroller and journeyed over to the nearest library. Fletcher made two friends to play with for a bit, I found a bunch of books to hopefully help me better build my online presence, and I got a little bit of homework done. Finally, Fletch fell asleep in his stroller and took a little nap, though not nearly long enough.
We then hopped on a bus to meet Keston at the gym after he got off work. It’s been a week or two since we’ve gone, and I almost talked myself out of it. We did it, though. Not in the brain place for a full workout, I hopped on a treadmill with my reading book – Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas – and turned up the slope settings. I didn’t make it the full thirty minutes I set it too, but I did get through a few chapters of my book and got my sweat on.
Then we came home, and I made a full dinner with the bare pickings I found in our fridge and pantry. We still had a couple cuts of Costco Salmon, so I threw those in the air fryer, put some rice on the oven, and decided I wanted to use some of our canned corn and cream of chicken soup as well. I can’t tell you why cream of chicken and salmon sounded like a yummy combo, but I wasn’t mad as I ate it. The soup made a good sauce for the rice.
We’ll be getting more food later today, thank goodness. Our church is taking care of us during this difficult financial period. I’m going to try and figure out time to donate plasma again, to bring in extra cash as well. It’s just obnoxious because I can’t create an appointment online, because my email address is connected to the donation center near our old residence a three hour drive from here. There isn’t a simple way I can find to change it, so I need to call the local center today and figure that out.
I did end up streaming Fallout yesterday. Only for like an hour, I wanted to get to the library, but I did stream it. No one watched except for my friend who popped in to have me as background noise while she packed for a trip. She’s a good friend, supporting my viewer numbers like that. Too bad one lurker doesn’t get me very far, but I’m thankful all the same.
I think I’m almost ready to really start writing again. My home is in a manageable state, though not as clean as I’d like it to be. The dishes are under control.
One thing I wish I had money for is a shelf and baskets to arrange my clothes differently. The traditional dresser situation is not working for me lately, but it also isn’t working for me to have all of my clothes in one basket to dig through. I need some organization, at least separation of different articles.
One of these days I’ll get there. For now… I’ll deal with the drawers.
Have a lovely day, my friends.
