I write to you today from my kitchen, waiting for some bananas to thaw out that have been sitting in my freezer for months. I have a Taylor Swift party to go to tonight, and we’re supposed to bring a treat inspired by a song. I don’t have a lot in my pantry these days, but I do have these bananas. So I’m making “Never Grow Up” Banana snack bars, that I will be cutting into cute shapes with my dino and princess cookie cutters.
I have about six different outfits I’m considering for tonight, but I cannot decide which one to wear. Let’s be honest, I think I’ve decided, I just haven’t fully committed yet. Maybe tomorrow I’ll figure out how to add a photo to these posts so you lovely humans can see.
I slept most of the day yesterday. I sleep so much lately. Why am I so tired? I’m sleeping at night too, but it’s never enough. I guess it’s a depression thing? I don’t know. If you have any ideas, please reach out.
We watched Cinderella last night, the live action one with Lily James. I had a really fun moment where about halfway through Keston was looking at the stepmother and asked “What else is she in?” I about died. I immediately knew he was probably thinking about Lord of the Rings, as Cate Blanchett is Galadriel, but I didn’t want to give it away so quickly. So I went onto IMDB, forbidding him to look it up himself, and tried to find other movies he would have seen. I had forgotten she was in Thor: Ragnorak, so I gave him that one. “That’s the one! I just watched those movies!”
I was a little disappointed that was what he had been thinking about. HE went on and on about that being the movie he was thinking of and I looked him in the eyes and went, “Babe. She’s Galadriel.”
I think we both about died. “Oh.” He said, and we both laughed.
He insisted Thor was the movie he had been thinking of, which I’ll only give him because it’s closer to the same year as Cinderella, but still. My dear, sweet prince… Cate Blanchett is Galadriel, and that is far more interesting than Thor’s evil half sister or whatever.
He’s adorable. I guess I’ll keep him.
We tried for the fifth time to get little Fletcher to snuggle into bed with us and watch the movie, we even brought the binkie and blanket he prefers to sleep with. He snuggled up for a minute, but it didn’t last. If he’s awake, it’s time to play. Keston finally put the boy to bed about halfway through the movie.
That’s all for today. I’ll be back tomorrow morning to report on the Eras Tour. Have a lovely Saturday my friends.
